Ads NEED Photos! At least 99% of the time, anyway.

Check out the examples below. Which ad looks better and would be more effective?

 
A lot of advertisers want to try to fit in every detail about their company within the text and that ends up creating an intimidating looking ad that nobody will take the time to read. People like looking at pictures (or graphics / illustrations). A photo will immediately let a viewer know what you ad is about. If your ad doesn't have room for a photo, consider deleting some copy or purchase a larger ad. Otherwise it's a waste of money to create an eye-chart-looking ad.

Sure, you have a lot to say and you want to give your customers options while you also tell them everything that you can provide them. The above example is a bit extreme, but you still need to keep your advertising, clean and concise. Otherwise consumers are going to look passed your ad because it will appear unappealing and excruciating to even attempt to read.Set a goal for your ad and focus on advertising a few key points.

"Ads Trump Football In Super Bowl Survey"


How many of you look forward to the commercials during the Super Bowl? According to this article, from 500 people surveyed, "39 percent said that the commercials were their favorite part of the game". The advertisers and ad agencies certainly push boundaries, think outside the box and typically shoot for funny and entertaining. The Metro Super Saver definitely isn't the same kind of advertising venue. For one, we don't charge millions of dollars per ad, but we do have some clients who prefer to joke around with their ads to try to grab people's attention.
